he guitar supposedly signed by Taylor Swift that was sold for $4,000 to a Texas man who immediately smashed it with a hammer wasn’t authentic, a source close to Swift’s merch company told HuffPost on Tuesday.
The source said an authentic Swift-signed guitar would have come with a certificate of authenticity, which Swift’s team doesn’t believe the auctioned guitar has. In any case, they said, Swift didn’t sign it.

A man in Waxahachie, Texas, went viral Monday after a video was posted on social media with a caption that said the man paid $4,000 for a guitar signed by Swift.
Turns out, the Taylor Swift guitar that some MAGA Moron paid $4,000 to smash with a hammer was a counterfeit. Fragile white male rage is so pathetically weak.

The video shows him immediately smashing it with a hammer.
The event happened at the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner, which is a “non-profit organization supporting agricultural education for local youth,” according to its website
The Ellis County Wild Game Dinner did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment but appeared to tell TMZ it had a certificate of authenticity for the item.
Social media users poked fun at the man, saying Swift probably doesn’t care about his opinion.

A few eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that the guitar didn’t look real.
“The funniest part is that this definitely a fake signed guitar like it has the wrong Era’s Tour logo and font I’m crying republicans are sooo stupid,”
