Hey Donald Trump, who’s hiding in the bunker now?

Over the past forty-eight hours, as Donald Trump has largely hid from public view while providing no leadership and merely posting inflammatory tweets, Palmer Report has quipped that he was either hiding under his bed or hiding under his desk. Now it turns out Trump was literally in hiding.

Multiple major news outlets are confirming tonight that at one point over the weekend, Donald Trump hid in an underground bunker beneath the White House, because there were some peaceful protesters across the street. We have no way of knowing for sure if this decision was made by Trump himself or by his security detail. But either way, it’s a perfectly on-the-nose turn of events.

Back when the pandemic was at its worst, Joe Biden was quarantining himself in his basement, because it was the responsible thing to do – but Donald Trump spent the entire time lampooning him for it (even as Trump also remained almost exclusively at home).

What’s remarkable is that Joe Biden ventured out today – complete with a mask – to speak with protesters in Delaware. They eagerly embraced him. Yet Donald Trump is so afraid of the protesters, he’s been literally hiding underground.
